Restlessness sets in any time we are in one place for too long. One day we threw some supplies into the car and drove west. There was no destination in mind, only a desire to see something new. The exhilaration of exploring the natural beauty all around us, of coming up with the plan as we went along, and the enormity of the cosmos as viewed from the desert overtook us. We wanted to live like this, where we could explore, learn and create. The dream persists. Treading water to maintain the trappings of city life seems like a dismal future, so we are going to simplify. All a body needs is food, water and shelter…and the internet. With the discovery of the existence of micro-campers that can be pulled by virtually any vehicle, we realized that our dream of living on the road could be our reality.
